Yes, that is mozzarella in the bowl. I know, most beautiful thing ever.
Someone came over before this cheesegasm happened and, seeing 6 boxes of noodles and 6 jars of sauce, said, "boy, you must really be having some lasagna cravings!" Um, close, but no. Jon helped me to make 6 large and one small lasagnas. The small we ate, the larges we froze for the open house next month.
It turns out that lasagna in multiple is really not at all harder and only slightly more time-consuming than lasagna in singular, especially with a food processor for onions and cheese, and I think that I will never again make just one. The only problem was the noodles. In an attempt to not allow them to stick while all sitting in the colander waiting to be layered, I stirred vigorously, first while boiling them and then in the colander with some oil. "Vigorously," it appears, is not to be applied to cooked lasagna noodles...
Note the jigsaw puzzle of noodles trying to make up layers! Ah well, we made it work and had "lasagna-edge spaghetti" for lunch today.
Stacked in the deep freeze, ready for party time
One thing I love about my husband is that he does not bat an eye when I ask him to put precisely 77 grams of grated mozzarella in each cheese layer. How did we live before our food scale?
