Baby Tutu!

A dapper daddy-daughter duo

This precious tutu pattern is from oliver + s little things to sew.  I made it in December for Soph's first birthday.

It turned out quite cute, but I definitely learned a lesson about using the called-for fabrics.  It should be made of layers of tulle, but my mom and I got carried away with some other sheer fabrics with sparkleys and flowers.

Awesome though they are, the thing sheds threads like the dickens, and it was also very difficult to get my machine to sew though all those sequins. I have pinked the edges and we will see how it holds up.

She wore it again last night for my mother's birthday party.  And now some party pics...

"Okay, now hold the rum bottle and smile!"

How do you fit 14 people + 3 babies in a dining room that seats 8?  Very carefully...

Happy Birthday Mom! I love you!
